Man About Town has been fitting formal hire in Sydney since 1987. Our showroom is conveniently located in the CBD — walk in off the street or book ahead. We fit tuxedos and suits for weddings, black tie events, school formals, race days and any occasion where the right look matters.
Alterations are completed on the premises. Made-to-measure and full tailoring are also available by arrangement.

Black Peak Lapel
The most architecturally considered of all tuxedo cuts — pointed satin-faced lapels angling upward toward the shoulder.
Black Shawl Collar
A single continuous satin lapel without break or notch. Softer in line, equally formal at the evening table.
Ivory Shawl Collar
White jacket, continuous black satin shawl lapel, black trousers and black bow tie. The contrast that commands a room.
Weddings &
groomsmen.
We fit the whole party together in a single session — groom, groomsmen, fathers and any other members — so every look is coordinated and no one is left chasing fittings in the week before the day. Book early during wedding season; popular dates move quickly.
Flying in for
the occasion.
Send your measurements before you fly and the suit is fitted, pressed and waiting when you land. We regularly dress visitors arriving from overseas, and interstate groomsmen the same way — a whole party coordinated from a single booking.

Any tailor or menswear shop will take them, usually at no charge. Email them through with your dates and the occasion.
We prepare it before you land
Your suit is selected, altered by hand on the premises and pressed ahead of your arrival. Nothing is sent away, so nothing runs late.
Collect in the CBD
Two minutes from Town Hall. A final adjustment on the spot, and you can walk out wearing it. Return it on the Monday — no cleaning charge.
